The following Policies apply to all lesson agreements (excluding Peak Performance Coaching), made between Helene Holman (the teacher) and the pupils and/or their parents/carers.
Lodgement of payment is taken as your agreement to the terms and conditions.
All lessons must be paid for at the time of booking through the online scheduler, Acuity. All payments are non- refundable.
For Weekly* tuition, lesson fees are charged at the beginning of each month via autopay. A credit or debit card is required to be kept on file for each student. Clients beginning in the middle of the month will have their payment prorated for the weeks remaining in the month. *All new students are charged a one-off £15 administration fee at the beginning of their tuition. This covers costs for sheet music, scripts, and theory books initially.
It is the student’s responsibility to attend lessons. If you need to reschedule your lesson you can do so up to 48 hours in advance by rescheduling your lesson through the online scheduler. Fail to do so will result in you forfeiting that lesson.
On the rare occasion, the teacher cannot make the agreed-upon lesson time, these lessons will be made up at a later date, or will be refunded.
Students who are ill will be turned away from lessons without a refund. If you are mildly sick or have no way of getting to a lesson then online lessons are a great alternative. They are a valuable way to keep your individual lesson time and avoid missing out.
Online Sessions will be taught via Zoom (Instructions about how to use Zoom will be sent prior to online lesson times).
Students are expected to purchase the necessary books and materials required for lessons.
Any belongings, for example, instruments, vehicles, or personal items, that are brought onto the teacher’s property are entirely at the student’s own risk.
The M.A.D. House accepts students who have a natural curiosity to music and their instrument and requires students to respect their teachers, fellow students, instruments, and belongings while in the studio. If a student is not able to do so, the teacher reserves the right to discontinue lessons without a refund.
It is important to note that whilst the teacher will use her best endeavours to ensure the student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed. In particular, careful regular practice as advised by the teacher is a prerequisite of success on any musical instrument or in any musical and theatrical endeavour.
All information, both verbal and written, acquired for the purpose of lessons will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be made available to any third party without prior consent.
We reserve the right to update or modify this Policy at any time and without prior notice. Any updated versions will be provided to all current students. Your continued use of this studio following any such changes constitutes your agreement with all posted Policy updates, and you will be subject to the associated revised terms. You may access the most current Studio Policies at any time on my website.
